Ahavah Foster Farms

  • What Is Ahavah?

The root word of ahava is "ahav." The term ahav in Hebrew means, "to give." True ahava, true love, is more concerned about giving than receiving.

  • What Is a Foster Farm?

A unique sanctuary model of partnering with animal welfare organizations to provide access to a safe foster-based living environment for senior dogs (either until adoption or forever if hospice is needed), cats with owners needing respite support due to domestic violence, and pigs and goats needing temporary placement.

  • Goals to Get Started!

    1) Release our Capital Campaign by October 1st to fundraise for our land, buildings, and animal care. This will be a peer to peer based campaign. Sign up for our newsletter for more information and stay tuned to events to learn more!

    2) Complete the Best Friend’s Animal Society’s course, Learn How to Run a Lifesaving Sanctuary by November 5th, 2022.

    3) Continue mentorships with current sanctuary partners to learn best practices during our planning phase in 2022-2023.

    4) In Summer, 2023, locate land for the future Ahavah Foster Farms sanctuary!
