![]() Rescueber rocked 7 trips this month with a total over 3,500 miles! That’s $500+ in just gas if you are keeping count! We started our month's travels heading to an Indiana partner for a kitty with a broken leg. Heartland Animal Shelter said, ‘of course’ to providing medical care and a loving foster home to heal it! We took a couple days off to work on the vent fan in the van (whoo hoo cool passengers) and then headed back Indiana for more fur friend riders, 15 cats headed to Catnap, Heartland, and St. Sophia’s! There was a lot of meows on that ride. ![]() Mid month, we met one of our goals! Rescueber started a partnership with intake facility in Louisiana (a state I have loved since my sister moved their to assist with hurricane relief). We packed the van (literally floor to ceiling) with 22 pups and 3 kittens for Animal Care League, One Tail at a Time, Our Pack Animal Rescue Inc, Lulu’s Locker, and Fetch Wisconsin! Even better, thanks to all of our supporters, we raised enough to not have to charge the rescues for transport costs (our goal every ride when possible). Thank you from Becca, Bobo, Cricket, Rosie, Ruffy, and all their friends! We are already getting adoption and foster updates and it makes our hearts burst with joy! On those long roads, we always think of the moments of an adopter or foster and a dog or cat feeling safe and loved in a home! After a few days of cleaning and rest, we headed up North for 4 pups from Michigan headed to One Tail at a Time, and 7 kitties for St. Sophia’s! If you haven’t heard a kitten and beagle harmonize, you are missing out! We are here to make a true meaning to save them all. When we heard from a rescue partner, Fetch Wisconsin, their van rental had fallen through, we happily offered Frank (our van) to make the ride to Missouri (hello state number 8 for Rescueber) to give 16 pups their rescue rides to the state of cheese! Sarah is also the foster to loved rider Hunter! Speaking of that cheese state, we gave them two new pup residents with Karma and Knuckles from Wisconsin rescued by Our Pack Animal Rescue. We finished our month with a new rescue partner, YAY! Catvando rocks the TNR (trap, neuter, return) world in the west burbs and we are SO happy to be helping give those kitties a ride weekly to become ball-less and flawless (or something equally cute related to spays). 3 kitties got rides this week!
For our statisticians, that’s 22 feline friends and 50 cute canines for 9 rescue partners! With regular local transports and multiple out of state rides (at least 8) we so greatly appreciate your support as monthly donors, rider sponsors, mile sponsors, and those that share our mission! We are able to keep rolling on the road for all the rescue rides because of you!
